Lever Logistics / Business Development

Growing International Logistics provider based in Torrance, CA offering a full suite of Freight Forwarding, NVOCC Ocean LCL/FCL, is looking for enthusiastic, proactive and motivated Sales Leaders (min. 1-3 years experience in transportation logistics sales)

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Must develop new business in line with company’s target client strategies
  • Prepare quotations for clients and prospects for both ocean freight and airfreight shipments.
  • Generate monthly activity reports, and input all relevant sales activities to CRM daily
  • Identify business opportunities and generates profitable sales in both new and existing accounts to meet and exceed new business revenue goals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales plans that support increased sales.
  • Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer’s business and the market
  • Support customer retention through collaboration with operations team and sales channels. Recommend solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledge
  • Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value.
  • Monitor and review customer sales activity and make strategy adjustments as needed.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with clients and relevant operations staff to evaluate performance and receives updates from clients on challenges and future plans.
  • Assist in development and reporting of competitive market analysis.
  • Complete administrative functions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge of products and services, with a particular focus on the Trans-Pacific import market.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a minimum 2 years of sales in freight forwarding with a proven track record.
  • Experience of Import and Export freight operations.
  • Must possess strong organizational & time management skills, the ability to prioritize multiple projects & tasks simultaneously and work in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • High school diploma or higher.
  • Must be willing to travel local and out of state

Job Type: Full-time

Base Salary + Uncapped Commission, Health Insurance Medical, Dental, and Vision
